Nothing is quite as frightening as the unknown. This is especially true where children are concerned. If we wait until a pandemic arrives at our door or if we rely on teachers at school to inform our children they are likely to be very frightened. Remember how stressful 9/11 was on children? They had repeated nightmares. They reverted to bed wetting, thumb sucking and other more juvenile behaviors.

Since farmers have been notified again this week in California that water will be unavailable this summer I would like to concentrate some of our efforts on storing foods that will be in short supply and very expensive this fall.
