There were several reports this week that really concerned me and I would like to comment on them today.
Professor David Price, professor of primary care respiratory medicine at the University of Aberdeen (Scotland) and a Government advisor on respiratory disease, backed the Department of Health trategy of widespread antiviral use but said swine flu would be better managed through school closures.

With older children returning to school many will be left with younger children to entertain. This is also the time of the year grandparents and friends return to after school day care duty. It is time for school to begin and the CDC has just released new guidelines for school closures. As of a news conference this morning, they are now recommending that schools not close when an outbreak occurs but rather establish quarantine room for students and teachers who become ill.
