I would like to say that if you are in a flood prone area you should make sure to get a Rider on your homeowners insurance policy. Your policy then will take care most of this for you. They will call in someone to remove the wet, dry out carpets and anything that is salvageable and get you started to rebuild everything. You have some great information here.
