Grate the soap and place it in a large pot. Cover with water and heat it until

the soap melts.

Add 1 gallon of hot water to a five gallon bucket. Add washing soda and the

borax and stir until dissolved. Add soap mixture and stir. Add enough hot water

to fill the bucket. Stir well.

Let the soap sit for about 24 hours or until it gels. Pour into plastic bottles filling bottles

3/4 full. Add water to fill the container also full, cap and shake well. You use

½ cup per load to begin with and increase amount if you need more.

and milk. Turn the mixer on low and slowly add egg mixture. Turn off mixer and fold in cranberries. Put some flour on the counter.

Turn the dough out onto the floured surface. Sprinkle flour onto the top of the dough, pat it into a disk

about 9 inches in diameter. Cut the into 8 pieces like a pie. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar.

Separate the pieces and put them on a silpat or parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

    I have been following you for a year or so. Don't get discouraged, there are lots of folks that appreciate all the work you are doing! I love the new getting out of debt posts. We need to shave as much as possible. Have you ever looked at Tere Foster's My Whole Foods Kitchen? She has a complete cookbook strictly from foods we can store that are also healthy. I have cut my grocery bill tremendously following her suggestions. It takes time to learn to process your own foods, but it is so worth it.. We are all about doing things more frugally to become self sufficient anyway, right?
