I have been cutting hair of my guys every since I was taught by an older lady. She was getting Meals on Wheels delivered and was partially blind and needed help finding her "2 inch cardboard measure" I have used that rule with my husband and also my son. Another helped me learn how to feather the hair. To think I was saving $5 a cut when I started, what is it about $20 now? About four times a year? Never thought about how much I was saving. :)

I have four sons and have been cutting theirs and my husband's hair for years. It has saved us tons of money and time running around. I have cut my daughter's hair a couple of times, but she really likes going to the salon. Seeing as this is only a couple of times a year, she can enjoy being pampered by a professional.

Back when I was coerced into trying to cut hair, it was pretty scary. I wish there had been an e-book like this one for me. I did check out a couple of books at the library and asked a neighbor for help. Both continue to be good sources of information on all kinds of skills.
