I used to be a travel agent, and we had people come into the office all the time to try and fix problems they had after booking trips, hotels, flights and or cars on the net. Needless to say we couldn't do anything as it wasn't booked thro us. When it comes to a big expensive trip, I believe the only way to book is face to face. If something goes wrong an agent can handle it with the company.... They usually have a far bit of pull. They can usually get you the same price or very close to what is on the net. I know of people who have spent their whole vacation in the lobby of a hotel cas it was booked on the net, and they had nobody to go to and get it fixed. I only wish those people good luck.
