After one or two purchases of mandarin oranges in a cup at a fast food place, we realized that one family member was hooked and would order that each time. We also knew that we could buy a 15 ounce can of those oranges for about 60 cents on sale instead of paying $1.00 for the 4 ounce version at the fast food place. Now we make our own "cups" of mandarin oranges with sugar free jello plus oranges. They can be eaten for snacks in the car and don't spill. The half cup plastic containers with lids are sold under different brand names. Each cup is filled with the prepared jello and mandarin oranges and allowed to set in the fridge without the lids. After they are set, we attach the lids and put them in our cooler for the trip. We also make other flavors and use other fruits in this way.
