Suid-Afrika Online Forex Trading In Suid-Afrika http://hummingbird-highway.com/hummingbird/  – A great quilting and reusing website!
With many friends across the USA and world we have a goal to make and secretly give 5000 bird ornaments to those who have lost their tree ornaments from fire, flood, or wind damage.   They are easy to make and hand sew or machine sew, and a dozen in a decorated bag will bring cheer to many.
We had one person with a lot of batting, another with beads and another quilter with a lot of small pieces- we have been cutting everyday and assemble them in our spare minutes here and there.
The birds will also be sent to those family members not able to make our parties.

For decorations, I make paper things, like lanterns using the Martha Stewart cutting templates or origami figures.  I'll also collect pinecones and spray paint them white or silver.  I put extra glass balls in clear vases and bowls for the mantle or side tables.  I use white tissue paper to make snowy scenes for my son's little toys on the mantle (snowy Thomas the tank engine :-)   After the holidays, most goes back in the household in some form.  The pinecones get repainted for valentines day, and then 4th of July and Halloween.

I’m going to have to look up those patterns. Thanks for the tips!
